Anaplan is looking for a motivated, results-driven Senior Manager, Tax - EMEA to come and join the team at our office in London or remote United Kingdom. We are looking for a candidate who will thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working across multiple tax functions including income tax, VAT, transfer pricing, planning, controversy, and provision.

This position will work cross-functionally with other departments in the Company as well as outside accounting firms and is a chance to make a big impact in a highly visible role.

Your role
  • You will be accountable for ensuring tax returns, corporate income tax and VAT, are filed timely and accurately.
  • Liaise with accounting firms throughout the corporate tax return preparation process.
  • Analyse non-deductible tax items.
  • Assist with the Company's RDEC claim.
  • Lead tax IT projects, e.g., e-invoicing.
  • Manage statutory tax audits and inquiries by governmental authorities.
  • Assist with transfer pricing documentation.
  • Work with regional finance teams on tax matters related to financial statement audits.
  • Support Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) with risk management and controls testing across various taxes.
  • Support month-end close process by assisting with tax-related journal entries and reconciling tax general ledger accounts.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax developments and communicate changes to the wider team.
  • Assist with various other projects including tax planning and cash repatriation.
  • Ideally, we are looking for demonstrable and relevant tax experience in public accounting and/or corporate tax department.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills to resolve minor issues while recognizing critical matters requiring further attention.
  • Chartered Accountant with an understanding of UK and US GAAP.
