The role
As the interim Solution Architect within Damen Naval its IT Staff Department, you are responsible for delivering IT solutions in various IT and business projects. You develop standard solutions, create designs, guide IT projects and work with our IT engineers to help them build and improve solutions. You work in a complex environment in cooperation with our security department to protect our sensitive data used to design and develop Naval solutions. For this interim position we seek a professional who can start on short notice.
Key accountabilities
As the Interim Solution Architect, your key responsibilities will include:
- You consult on and design new and current IT solutions.
- You create standard reusable building blocks and low level designs.
- You guide project teams in making the right technological decisions.
- Cooperate with the Cyber Security team and security architects to make sure our technical solutions are secure and compliant
- Cooperate with the Enterprise architects to make sure our solutions are in line with the high level design, (IT) strategy and architecture vision.
Skills & experience
To excel as an interim Solution Architect, you possess the following qualifications and qualities:
- 5+ years' experience working on IT Architecture, preferably in the context of a staff department within a multinational organization.
- Solid experience in translating of requirements into (technical) tooling and solutions.
- working with various architecture tools and experience in modelling and standardizing architecture is a plus.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Experienced dealing with compliance and risk topics are considered a plus.
Excellent references antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. Candidates with EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
