Sr. Solution Architect - FSI - Compliance, Industry & Solutions Centre of Excellence

DESCRIPTION

Do you have unique expertise in Financial Service Compliance in the UK, EU or globally in understanding architectural choices for the Digital Operational Resilience Act or European Common Tape? Do you want to be part of the solutions architects team helping to establish Amazon Web Services as the leading cloud computing platform?

As a Solutions Architect in the Industry & Solutions Center of Excellence, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazon's utility computing web services across the partner community working backwards from customers and regulatory bodies. Your broad responsibilities will include owning the technical engagement with strategic partners. Working backwards from customer business challenges, and defining partner technical enablement strategies.

The ideal candidate will possess bridge building technical skills in software architecture and cloud computing with customer facing skills interfacing with developers to the C-suite with the ability to Earn Trust. The ideal candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.

Key job responsibilities
As a strategic member of the Industry & Solutions Center of Excellence team, you will act as a trusted advisor alongside Partner Development Specialists. This includes:

  1. Provide the architectural guidance and recommendations related to Compliance in Financial Services at a local and global level.
  2. Assist solution providers with the definition of technical strategies and thought leadership to share solutions with customers.
  3. Capture and share best-practice knowledge with our broader Solution Architecture community.
  4. Collaborate with Industry aligned organizations across AWS, and Amazon entities.
  5. Share customer feedback to internal product management and engineering teams to help drive the future of AWS.
  6. Represent AWS on Industry Regulatory and Standards Bodies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or experience in a professional field or military.
  2. Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
  3. Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
  4. Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
  5. Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients.
  6. Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Knowledge of cloud architecture.
  2. Experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking.
  3. Experience working with end user or developer communities.
