In this role, you will be at the forefront of driving security initiatives for public sector customers in the APJ region. You shall collaborate with Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and Chief Technology Officers (CTOs) to develop and execute security strategies that serve long-term outcomes. Your expertise will be instrumental in architecting and implementing cutting-edge security solutions using AWS security technology to meet customer needs.

As a Security Solutions Architect, you will conduct security Well-Architected Framework Reviews (WAFR) or threat modeling of system workloads in a data-driven approach. From the reviews, you will collaborate with the customer to build a security improvement program with concrete resolution actions, scalable security operation processes, such as incident response readiness, and security automation that ensures customer's environments are resilient and secure.

Compliance and regulatory guidance are critical in the APJ region, and you will play a pivotal role in ensuring solutions meet country-specific regulatory requirements and industry standards, including data residency and sovereignty concerns. Your ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes will be invaluable.

You shall have the opportunity to promote AWS security best practices through workshops, training sessions, and thought leadership activities, shaping the future of cloud security in the region. Combining your technical skills with risk management principles, you'll design resilient security architectures that mitigate risks and protect our customers' most valuable assets.

To excel in this role, you'll need a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, along with 7+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, or a related technical field. Experience with cloud security services and tools is essential, as is a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and data protection laws. Proven ability to engage with senior executives (CISOs, CTOs) and influence security strategies is a must, as is excellent verbal and written communication skills. You'll need to work effectively across different cultures and commercial practices in the APJ region. Preferred qualifications include advanced security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, AWS Certified Security Specialty, or Certified Ethical Hacking.

Experience in the public sector or working with government customers, knowledge of DevSecOps practices and infrastructure as code, and experience with risk management, security operations, security incident response, and threat intelligence will be highly valued.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
